So what is a snack? Can anything that is eaten between meals be considered a snack, regardless of its size, or does it have to be significantly smaller than the meal itself? Can a snack be a meal, if, for example, the only thing you eat around noon is an apple?
What if you have a small sandwich for dinner, and a friend says “that’s not enough for a whole meal! That’s just a snack!” is she right? Who’s to say? Tough questions, friends. But luckily, we’ll discuss all of the above and more, right here on this blog. We’re all about food here, particularly the kind you can snack on.
Why you ask? Why have we decided to create a blog for something so seemingly niche? Simply because there’s nothing like finally sinking into your couch after a long day, turning on a movie, and grabbing … well, whatever you like! Sweet? Savory? Spicy? Maybe it depends on your mood, maybe the weather, maybe the people you’re with.
Whatever is it, we talk about it on this blog. We tell you all about our favourite snacks for special occasions, snacks you can share (not that you’ll want to), healthy snacks, not so healthy snacks, our thoughts on snacking, and, sometimes, just thought we’ve had while we’ve been snacking. ‘Cause why not?
Those of us working on this blog are dedicated not only to basically just having a ton of fun talking about our sometimes embarrassing eating habits, but also to encouraging you to snack like a champion.
We’ll point you in the direction of places you can get perfectly portioned packages of snacks (because no one can sit with an open bag of chips and eat only a reasonable amount), we’ll tell you about our favourite tupperware for storing and transporting snacks (because there is nothing, NOTHING worse than discovering pineapple juice has leaked out of a bag and into every crevice of your purse), and we’ll even talk about the culture of snacking (because, call me dramatic, but that is definitely a thing that exists in our world).
